In my years of study, I’ve developed 4 baskets that help each person become comfortable in the practice of Qigong.

The first basket is Movement Medicine-

It starts with something you do every day, yes, it’s this simple to begin. You can’t help but move. Just by moving every day, creates health, vitality, balance, mobility, and fitness. Movement helps every part of your mind, body and lifts your spirit. The lack of movement creates dis-ease. The practice of Qigong combines slow gentle movement of your body and stillness in your mind that helps you relieve stress and get healthier.

 There is an old saying:

“The body benefits from movement and the mind benefits from stillness.

 The second basket is Breath Medicine-

Did you know that a person can live for weeks without food and days without water BUT you can only a few moments without breathing. With just a few alterations in the way you breathe, I’ll teach the difference it will have in your body. First, I teach you Full, deep, relaxed belly breathing. This practice shifts our nervous system from the stress response (which happens in our everyday life and creates dis-ease) to the relaxation response (the Qigong state) which creates a state of balance and inner peace within your body and mind and shifts our body (and mind) into healing mode.

The third basket is Self-Massage Medicine-

Massage is the most ancient healing art.  Many of us think massage is accomplished lying on a table with a masseuse. But massage starts with the simple practice of rubbing your hands, ears &/or feet (all your extremities contain reflex points that connect to Every organ and system of your body). You will enhance your well-being; increase your productivity and performance and you’ll also prevent the negative effects of stress.  

Basket number 4 is Meditation/Mindfulness Medicine-

Have you ever heard the saying “Quiet the mind, Open the heart....’? Many of us think we need to have a certain procedure to meditate. I teach the practice of simplicity. Just by sitting still for a little as 10 minutes is meditation. By slowing down your mind from the stress of everyday life will help you open your personal pathway to freedom and inner peace.
